The proven LEUCO Jointing Cutter family with brazed DIAMAX cutters was enhanced. The focus was on the working conditions of the operating staff. The aim was to clearly reduce the noise emission of through-feed machines with non-capsuled jointing aggregates.
The changes lie in the detail, however they have great effects. The intention was to reduce the noise of a standard jointing cutter without renouncing on the advantages of a brazed tool.
Thanks to the modification of the gullets and the tooth back the air flow could be optimized. Thus, turbulences are avoided and noise emission can be clearly reduced. By reducing the noise by up to 5 dB(A) when idling and up to 2 dB(A) during operation the working conditions could be improved considerably. The new brazed DIAMAX is one of the most noise-reduced types in his category in the whole tool sector. The "facelift" is now called "LowNoise Jointing Cutter".
The modifications can be seen at first glance. The cutting edges are embedded in the body in an aerodynamic way like in the wind tunnel, all interfering edges were eliminated. This design is made by LEUCO and becomes possible thanks to the most up-to-date production know-how.

DP Jointing Cutter "SmartJointer" with exchangeable Knives Less weight and less noise - two smart characteristics of the new LEUCO jointing cutter "DP-SmartJointer". The extremely low weight of the SmartJointer is achieved thanks to the high-tensile aluminum body. The light tool requires less motor driving power when accelerating and thus less energy. Dynamic processes such as jump-milling consume only a small fraction of the energy needed up to now. Even the machine operator saves energy as thanks to his low weight the DP-SmartJointer can be handled more comfortably. Re-usable body The tool body can be re-used, a fact which saves resources and money. Even if a tooth breaks the whole tool does not have to be disposed of as only an insert needs to be changed. The change of all knives at the end of the edge life is less expensive than to buy a new tool as the body can be re-used. The inserts with integrated gullets protect the body from wear due to chips. Thus the body can be used even longer.
Comfortably noise-reduced A noisy working place is displeasing and hurtful in the long run. It cannot be avoided that tools contribute their share to the total noise emission. However, noise should be kept as low as possible. No problem for the low-weight DP-SmartJointer. The aluminum body causes less unbalance noise and reduces the noise level by 2 dB(A) when idling and up to 3,5 dB(A) during operation. Imagine a lawn mower - if you start a second identical lawn mower the noise level is increased by approx. 3 dB(A). An increase of 3 dB(A) doubles the noise level while the reduction of 3 dB(A) halves the noise level. That means that you could operate two SmartJointer and they would cause even less noise when idling than one standard jointing cutter.
Cutting quality With regard to performance you may expect the same results than with brazed diamond tools, i.e. long edge lives and high cutting quality. The shear angle was increased compared to standard jointing cutters. Thus the LEUCO DP-SmartJointer is made for even higher cutting quality.
